Guess what she said.
I was sharing with my students a few days ago regarding the number of hours we should spend studying. She was complaining that there's barely 2 weeks left to the start of the O'levels, and she haven't got the time to memorise the chunks of texts necessary to do well in her subjects. It's just too many and too short a time, she lamented. So I asked her how many hours did she study per day?
Guess what she said.

I've taught students from reportedly branded schools and students from neighborhood schools. Do you think they the students from these branded schools are smarter and they easily get their As? Do you think that they are gifted so they don't have to work? What's the difference between them and the students from neighborhood schools?
I think by now you should have read this post about a tutor who earns $10k a month. Most of what is mentioned in the article is quite true and I can vouch for its accuracy. Who don't want to earn $10k/month, given a choice? But here's some comments on it though, before you quit your job to become a Super Tutor.

About meI've been a full time tutor since graduation from NUS with a 1st class Honours in Civil Engineering. Never been trained formally as a full time teacher and never had tuition in my whole life, so my methods are unconventional but effective. Archives
